 Today we read poems that focused on our 5 senses. These poems created imagery to help us get a picture of what we read. We can get a sense of what something smells, looks, or feels like. After that we had to answer 9 questions together as a class which we didn’t finish. The first two questions for me were the hardest but maybe because I didn’t really understand the wording. Today has been a good day  I feel that tomorrow will also be a good day

 Today we went over the EOC practice test, which just told us about how to navigate through it. It showed us how to highlight, go to the next question, cross out answers, etc. we talked about a few trending topics that have surfaced on the internet, the first one was about will smith and Chris Rock. The second topic was about this 4 yr old girl and a firearm. The last one was about a 14 yr old that fell from an amusement park ride. These were interesting topics that we talked about while we were in class. 

 Today we took a test on the rock pile. We had 24 questions in total and I missed 4. After I finished I got a 24 which meant I got a 83%. The rock pile was a good story highlighting the struggles of families and how things sometimes aren’t fair. After school ends today I will be going to a gymnastics meet.

 John leaned over to pick up his dads lunchbox when Gabriel snatched it from johns view. Gabriel stared at John for what felt like 10 minutes, and turned around, abruptly going outside and slamming the door. John stood there staring at the door as his step father left. Roy sat on the couch looking at his brother John with his eyes full of un released tears. John looked at his brother Roy and proceeded to sit beside him. “I told you to stay with me at the fire escape Roy…” “I’m sorry…mom was right about me being hard headed, I don’t learn.” John looked at his brother Roy and hugged him. “Hopefully one day things will get better with mom and…Gabriel. 

 Today I stayed home because my mom went out of town. I had to watch my there siblings while my other two siblings went to school. I did the bell ringer, and some other work for another class. It was kind of stressful today because I had to watch 3 toddlers but I’ve done it before so it isn’t that hard.

  Today we discussed our unpopular opinions.

 Today we had an assignment on unpopular opinions. We had to pick a number and that number revealed the opinion we had to do. We had to make a pro,con, and Put them together. In the end we had to make a paragraph. The paragraph consisted of claim, evidence, explain evidence, and a conclusion.

 Today we presented our 10 slide project as a group. We each presented three slides to the class. This project is 45% of our grade, which means the project all together will be 200%. I feel like we did good but probably not good enough to get all 200, sense our presenting was us almost reading everything off of the slides. We tried our best so hopefully we get a good grade.

 Today I had to go in the gym for two of my periods. The cheerleaders, dancers, step team, band, and jrotc performed. Two of my teachers were in the gym so that’s why I had to stay in there. I liked the band and the dancers the most out of the whole performance. Today in Mr. Reases class we finished our project and we have to present next Tuesday 2nd.

 Today we weee assigned a project about current events. We were told to write down 2 current events we know of so they could be pulled for our project. The current event my group got is about how TikTok negatively affects kids mental health, and teenagers. I believe it does affect their mental health, but also physical. There are many bad influences on TikTok. Like challenges that cause young children to hurt themselves. There may also be a positive way that TikTok influences teens and children but not their mental health.

 Today we did questions 20 of the benchmark that we did yesterday. The question was about some amendments and why they reflected the difference between the first and last four before and after each other. It seemed like an easy answer because All you have to do is look at the 10 amendments and see the clear separation of how they differ. First four talks about our rights with the gov, and the next four were about our rights in court. We had to write 3 paragraphs for this question. We were told to make 7 sentences each paragraph, but I only made 5 each paragraph.

 Today we did a benchmark. There weee 20 questions but we had to complete 19 and do number 20 tomorrow. This benchmark was like a mirror to the EOC. It helps of get an understanding of how the EOC test will be. I feel like I did good enough on this benchmark 

 Today we answered 10 questions about the story ambush. We didn’t do number nine I don’t know why. We had to think critically and summarize, and analyze. If you didn’t complete the work form yesterday you had to complete it. I finished my work today and the work from yesterday. The work today was due at the end of the period.

 Today we worked in groups to complete an assignment about a story called Ambush. It was a story based on the authors personal experience. The character was asked by his daughter if he had killed anyone, in which he replied no.

 Today we wrote a poem, my poem is this: It gets you down, slowly but surely The west and tear of the “love” you crave, You try and try but it seems to fail Every try is like an endless hail. Searching will not lead you to your destination,  The love will swallow you like a black hole, Some love will not be love It will make you believe that it is try. Till it appears,  Don’t let it bring you down,  It shall come to you like a delicious smell, Like a light in a room full of darkness, But not waiting to be found. Love shall find you when it feels like you are ready  It will come only when your life is steady.

 Today we read a poem called a funeral in my brain. It was about how losing your mind can be as tragic as death. It goes through the fazes of losing your mind.

 Today we read a poem called “I am nobody! Who are you?” I believe I am nobody because being nobody means to be yourself. I don’t follow the standards of society, and I don’t try to fit in with everyone.
